Overview

Wanting to see a different side of the Kruger normally reserved primarily for in-park residents or those who booked long in advance. At Bookings Africa we book a few night drives in partnership with the experienced Kruger rangers and offer these to our clients who want to a different experience.

The park is normally reserved for the animals at light and behind search lights you get to see the glowing eyes or various nocturnal animals. We will generally come across hippo grazing. Owls and of course lions in full action.

Depending on the seasons, drives typically start @ 20h00 and last 2 hours

19h00 – Collection at Your Lodge (Earlier if Paul Kruger drive is booked))
19h30 – Arrive at Phabeni/Paul Kruger Gate
20h00 – Join KNP Guides on KNP OSV
22h00 – Return to gate
22h30 – Drop off at your lodge

What to Expect
While the sightings as different. all the animals are on the menu quite literally as hunts generally happen at night. Noctural animals and birds ( Owls) are generally the most common sightings, however inside the quiet of the night, we listen out for lions roaring or hyena’s laughing.

Elephant and buffalo look so majestic under spotlights and your nature photos will be so different with this different lighting. Lastly see and marvel into the solar system with bright star gazing away from the city lights.

Kruger rangers have access to routes not taken by private operators and this sometimes pays great rewards.

Important Information

Cancellation Policy

A prepayment of 50% of the total price must be paid after reservation to secure your trip and the remaining amount is payable 30 days before the trip commences. Guests will be charged 100% of the price if the trip is cancelled within 30 days of the trip commencing.
